I found this paper in a little chapel for Eucharistic Adoration on a little side street in Spain during World Youth Day. I absolutely love it. It got me through parts of the trip, for sure. I translated it myself so it might not be perfect…it sounds so much more beautiful in spanish, trust me.

Jesus tells you today:

If no ones loves you, my joy is to love you.

If you cry, I am wishing to console you.

If you are weak, I will give you my strength and energy.

If no one needs you, I look for you.

If you are useless, I cannot go without you.

If you are empty, my love will satisfy you. 

If you are afraid, I carry you on my back.

If you want to walk, I will go with you.

If you call, I come always.

If you get lost, I don’t sleep until I find you.

If you are tired, I am your rest.

If you sin, I am your forgiveness.

If you talk to me, treat me with yourself.

If you ask of me, I am a gift for you.

If you need me, I tell you: I am here inside of you.

If you resist, I don’t want you to do anything by force. 

If you are in the darkness, I am a lamp for your steps.

If you are hungry, I am the Bread of Life for you.

If you are unfaithful, I am faithful.

If you want to talk, I listen to you always.

If you look at me, you will see the truth of your heart.

If you are imprisoned, I will liberate you.

If you are broken, I will cure your fractures.

If you are stained, I don’t want you to save face.

If you think I am your rival, I don’t want to be above you.

If you are excluded, I am your ally.

If you are forgotten, my insides shake remembering you.

If you have no one, you have me.

If you are silent, my word inhabits your heart.
